Try 8/27/72 of course, and 3/29/90, 6/22/73...

The Watkins Glen Soundcheck 7-27-73 has a great Birdsong.
Also Utica 3-22-73 is very good.

Noticed a splice/cut at 4'55 in the Watkins version. And yet, this IS a pretty interesting version. The jamming/noodling seems to go off into some interesting areas that i hadn't heard before. Cool.

Actually now that i think about it with my brain, i seem to recall learning of a seed of the Watkins show that did not have the splice in Bird Song. Or am i thinking of another show. Can't be sure. Anyhow, it's certainly an exploratory version.

Are you referring to the SBD or AUD? This is one show where I think the AUD is better. Captures the sound down to Billy's cymbals. I don't think there are any cuts in the AUD but it's been awhile since I listened to it.

Yeah the AUD is on the archive BUT there's only one of the entire soundcheck. The others all start at Big River.

No we're not the same. I'm going to look for a new handle right now
